Life Update: Finding My Purpose and Living Better with Less!

What’s up, everyone! Finally, I got the chance to write a blog post today. So, here’s my excuse! (lol!) I was busy working Monday to Friday (yes, I have a job) and whenever I feel like writing, it’s either I was super tired or it was in the middle of the night. Why does my brain keep on thinking random stuff when my body is already tired and I just can’t get up in the middle of the night to write these ideas? Do you experience the same? Okay, let’s go on and talk about why I am writing this post. As you can see on the title, this is going to be a life update about finding my purpose (or should I say niche?) and start living better with less. When I say the word “less”, it means material things that depreciate and ruin my saving ways.

I want to share a short story about me and my blog so you could understand my point of view. I don’t like explaining things but this one is different. I want you to be inspired or appreciate this blog post. I started blogging in 2012 and all I think about was to take a picture of my self wearing different clothes to show my personal style. I keep on buying affordable makeups, visit thrift stores three to four times a month and spend my hard-earned money there. I was doing that until last year before I moved to the US. I’m not gonna lie. That’s me! My point was, I was working! I am not rich and back when I was younger, I don’t have the capability of buying these simple things for myself. I don’t get enough sleep because I work too hard to earn it, so I’m going to spend it! (Bahaha! Can you hear my evil laugh?)

Now that I’m older (yes!) I feel like I have to minimize my spending habits when it comes to things that accumulate space but I never use. I watched so many videos about minimal living and being a minimalist and it gave me inspirations. I don’t want to call myself a minimalist rather, I just want to live better with less stuff inside our house. I also watched some decluttering videos and it gives me anxiety seeing all the plastic bottle of beauty products and plastic packagings. They are going to throw away and disposed it properly, (of course!) but I imagine those plastics floating in the ocean and being spread in the forest. That’s when I realized I have to do something to contribute to saving nature. I started an online business and I even customized my own plastic packaging but now I regret it! Aside from the cost of it, plastic is another trash that can affect nature. C’mon the packaging was pretty but I’ve learned my lessons and realized these things. I’m sorry, I should have known it before I launched it.

I don’t want you to think that I am just an over-reacting, weird person. Time will come you’ll realize things which you never think about before. I’m not saying I’ll never buy clothes or makeup anymore. Every woman love that stuff! I’ll just try to use whatever I have. We only live once so we have to enjoy it and clothes and beauty products are not the only things that can make us happy. In my opinion, I’d rather spend on experiences so when I grow old, I have so many memories to share (whether it’s good or bad).

This is not going to be easy and I know it. I just hope I can keep up with my words. How wonderful is it to live outside the box sometimes and see the beauty of nature?

This post is just the beginning of the niche that I want to pursue. This blog has been my happy little space since 2012 but I am not giving it enough justice to keep people inspired. I was just sharing random thoughts to get back to it whenever I want to. Now, to whoever come here and take a look at it, I want to say thank you for all of your support no matter how small, random and nonsense it is! I’ll also be creating more videos about it and upload it on my Youtube Channel.

Please join me on my “Living Better with Less, Choose Happiness and Experiences” journey.

See you on my next post!
