How To Deal With Post Wedding Blues

Wedding blues are a real thing. Once all the festivities are over, it is very difficult to get back to the normal routine. You feel that all the charm has just come to an end, though not true. You have married the love of your life and its all exciting, so why does the melancholy start bothering you? It is a new phase of your life, there is so much to see and so much to experience, then why are you letting such small things effect your happiness.

Wedding is not just a one day affair. You start with the preparations long ago and no matter how much you hate it then, it just becomes a part of your routine. That is the reason, when the wedding events are over, you just start feeling bored. The past few months you have spent planning so many things. The event management sure was a head ache then, but it was exciting and you did like the rush and all the gushing around it.

 

So how do you cope up with all the crazy fun- filled days that you are badly missing now?

 

Indulge yourself in a new activity

You have spent so much time planning our wedding, your body and your mind have got accustomed to all the pressure and you do like the adrenaline rush. If you are feeling so sad, it is because your body is now used to those extra hours to work and effort. This is a very good time to channelize your energy into something new and better. Take classes, start learning something new, paint, sing, whatever you like, just start indulging yourself in any activity that you are fond of.

 

Spend time around the same type of people

 It is a new experience, and you would be lying if you said that you don’t feel a little worried in the current situation. You might be scared about all the new responsibilities on you, or on the direction our relationship would take, but you are definitely scared and a little nervous. Start spending time with married couples. In fact it would be perfect if you can find another newly married couple to hang out with. That way you can talk openly to them about all your doubts and confusions and also get the strength and the reassurance that you are slightly looking forward to.

 

Start arranging things

 It is a new life, a new place and a whole new environment for you. Do whatever it takes to make you feel more homely. If you think that decorating the room in a certain manner would make you feel better and in the right place, then you do that. Arrange the gifts, your personal things and all the new things you bought yourself. It would make you feel more connected and would definitely help you get over the wedding blues.

 

Meditation

Mediation is the best way and the most recommended way to get your mind off something. If you are having difficult getting you mind off all the wedding preparations and all the buzz of event management, then you must try meditating. If you do not prefer meditation, then start yoga or exercising. It will help you channelize your energy and divert your focus from the wedding blues to more motivating, exciting things. It is the best way to free you body and mind of any negative energy. It fills you up with positivity and you can use that to carry on with a much better activity.

 

Getting over all the buzz sure is difficult, but you cannot sit back whining about what is gone. Sooner or later you have to get over it and move on. The sooner you realize that, the better it is going to be for you.
