Stainless Steel Sinks

Due to its bright and glossy look, people prefer it the most.  The enamel finish gives an attractive look and appeal and them long-lasting too.  Casting iron is the material that is used to manufacture a cast iron sink.  Cast iron sinks do not rust easily as they are coated with a porcelain enamel finish. The enamel finish gives a fine texture to the sinks and it also makes the sink very hard so that it can resist all kinds of scratches and hardness of water. The only drawback in a cast iron sink is it is on the heavier side as it weighs 2 to 3 times when compared with a normal stainless-steel sink. Also, they are expensive too.

Fireclay Sinks

By simply molding a ceramic clay and giving it the shape of a sink, fireclay sinks are made. Post the molding and shaping process, the sink can dry at a high temperature. The period required for the process to complete is up to 40 hours. The porcelain enamel is put once the clay has totally dried up.  Next, for a time limit of up to 20 hours, the sink is placed in a kiln at a high temperature.  Proper installation of fireclay kitchen sinks is essential as the other materials can crack down due to fireclay.  If you are looking for inexpensive products without burning a hole in your pocket, you can go ahead and buy a sink made up of fireclay.
